With over 8,800 employees and a turnover of around 5.7 billion euros in 2019, EWE is one of the largest energy companies in Germany.
Headquartered in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, the company is predominantly in municipal hands.

For a comprehensive fiber optic expansion in the region, EWE has founded Glasfaser Nordwest together with Telekom Deutschland, which will invest two billion euros in fiber optic expansion in the northwest over the next ten years.
